Learning Dutch as a non-native speaker is challenging. Especially if your native language is drastically different.
However, if you plan on staying here for a while, it’s worth it to invest in some Dutch lessons. Whether it’s to improve your small talk around the coffee machine or to order a local dish in a restaurant, I’m certain it will be worthwile.
Depending on your budget and goals, it can be useful to sign up with a group of friends or colleagues who are all hovering around the same level. Lessons for groups up to four people are more affordable and less intense for learners. On top of that, it’s also very fun to learn together!
Get to know me before committing to a course!
I always make an effort to create a safe -and fun- space to learn. A good laugh every once in a while helps you remember and persevere :) ! But no matter how great I am as a teacher, if there’s no spark, you’re likely to learn less (quickly). That’s why it’s always a good idea to plan an initial meeting to find out whether we have a connection.
In a meeting of 30 minutes, we’ll get to know each other and we’ll talk about all you need and want in terms of language. After the meeting, I’ll send you my advice tailored to your needs Are you unsure? I highly recommend looking around before making a choice. You’re always welcome to come back to me!
